Give your time. Volunteer at Families First

Families First (North East) is very fortunate to enjoy the support of a large number of volunteers who are dedicated to helping their local community. They are an essential part of our multi-disciplinary team and provide vital support in all areas of the team.

We have a wide range of volunteer roles in which you can get involved and help to make a real difference in your local community and to the young people and adults that we work with. Our work is fun, challenging, rewarding and gives you first hand experience of working in a vibrant and respected organisation. As a responsible organisation who is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, potential volunteers may be subject to an Enhanced Level DBS check.

Do you have time to spare?

Families First (North East) has volunteers of all ages and backgrounds and each one has a very personal reason for offering their time. Without their help the organisation would not be what it is today.

We are always looking for new volunteers to join our team and no previous experience is necessary. We provide all the training needed to help people get the most out of the experience.

We are looking for the following volunteers in the following areas:  Social Work, Family Support, Play Work, Youth Work, Working with children with additional needs, Health Development, Creative Arts, Teaching, Catering, Music, Fundraising and Events, Admin and Finance.
